Jennian Homes comes to South Waikato

Jennian Homes comes to South Waikato

One of New Zealand’s largest home building companies has come to South Waikato, with local builder Mike Riddle joining award-winning franchise building company Jennian Homes.

Mr Riddle, who has been building homes in Cambridge for almost a decade, will cover a region spanning the South Waikato from Cambridge to Taupo. He says adopting the Jennian business model will help his business meet growing demand throughout the region.

‘In the nine years I’ve been working in Cambridge, demand for builders has been strong. Even during the recession we found plenty of work with a combination of new homes, renovations and commercial building. Now that I have the support of a nationwide building brand and access to the systems and processes that come with it, I’m looking forward to building even more homes in our region.

“Jennian has over 30 years’ experience building homes for New Zealanders, and in that time the company has refined its systems and services to ensure a superior customer experience and deliver customised homes of the highest quality. It’s great to join such a well-known and respected New Zealand building brand.”

Mr Riddle was approached by Jennian Homes’ management to join the company as they expand to meet the growing demand of a burgeoning construction industry. Jennian Homes’ national relationship manager Allan Westbrook says Mr Riddle was recommended to him by local suppliers.

“Mike’s suppliers gave really positive reviews of his business and what he’s achieved in Cambridge. He has a long list of very happy clients and a reputation for maintaining strong industry relationships. He’s demonstrated a real dedication to his business, which is an essential quality we look for in prospective franchise owners. Mike’s managed to achieve all this using his own systems. Having access to the systems and support of the Jennian group will mean he can grow his business even further.”

Mr Riddle completed his building apprenticeship in his hometown near Whitianga, before moving to Cambridge 10 years ago. He’s a keen outdoorsman, enjoying deer stalking, mountain biking and surfing whenever he has a chance, and is married with four daughters.

Mr Riddle says his goal is to make Jennian Homes the most sought-after building name in the South Waikato.
