Heilala Vanilla Launches New Ground Vanilla Powder
New Zealand’s premium vanilla grower and producer Heilala Vanilla has launched a new ground vanilla powder.
Made from 100% pure vanilla beans, the powder is free from artificial colours, flavours, buffers, additives, sugar and
is gluten free.
Jennifer Boggiss, Heilala Vanilla director, says requests from customers and health food stores for a pure vanilla
powder led to the development of the product.
“Customers came to us frustrated about existing vanilla powders containing various additives,” she says. “Vegan, raw,
whole food followers and other health conscious consumers wanted a pure vanilla powder with a superb vanilla flavour
which is what we have created. It is a highly versatile product and can be used in many ways without losing its
flavour.”
The product is made by drying and grinding Heilala Vanilla beans into a fine powder making it the purest and most
natural form of vanilla available in the range. Two grams of the ground vanilla powder is equivalent to one Heilala
Vanilla bean.
“Our vanilla powder is great in hot or cold mixtures,” says Jennifer. “It is excellent to use in baking, desserts and
smoothies or when vanilla extract or paste is not preferred.”
Heilala Vanilla continues to grow and taste sweet success for its products after recently winning the fastest-growing
exporter and fastest-growing manufacturer awards in the Central North Island section of the Deloitte Fast 50 Awards.
The company also won praise at the Vava’u Agricultural Day held this month with the King of Tonga, Tupou VI awarding
them a top prize for tourism and labelling.
Heilala Vanilla Ground Powder is available in 250gm, 100gm packs and 25gm jars.
