Advanced vehicle technology in the spotlight at Trafinz Conference tomorrow
Rotorua is hosting the New Zealand road safety industry’s annual Trafinz conference.
The conference has a theme of ‘Safety and Efficiency – The Challenges of Delivering Both’.
A special vehicle technology session is being held tomorrow (4 September) providing the industry with information on vehicles that will provide safety and efficiency for New Zealand communities.
Trafinz vice-president John Gottler said it is leading edge advancement towards a better transportation future.
“It is an opportunity for the industry to provide people with the tools and abilities to create safe and efficient vehicle fleets on our roads so that NZ enables excellence in transportation outcomes,” said Mr Gottler.
•Honda will introduce reduced driver fatigue, self steer, blind spot monitoring, collision prevention and advance driving tools.
•Hyundai will present lane departure warning, active cruise control, smart park assist and integrated real time traffic updating as well as the new mass production of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles into our vehicle fleet.
•Mercedes Benz will inform the industry of, in car technologies that exist today and will introduce what is coming in the very near future.
The Trafinz Conference is being held at the Energy Events Centre from 3 to 7 September.
