Farmlands Fuel - The New National Name for Major Supplier CRT Fuel
Farmlands Fuel is the new name for CRT Fuel, following the recent merger of South Island-based CRT Society Limited and North Island-based Farmlands Trading Society Limited.
The merger created the country’s largest rural supply company, Farmlands Co-operative Society Limited, which has 55,000 members throughout New Zealand, more than 1,000 staff and 80 rural supplies stores nationwide with combined historic sales in excess of $2 billion a year.
Farmlands Fuel is New Zealand’s leading nationwide distributor of onsite bulk fuel, card fuel and Gulf lubricants to the rural, commercial and retail sectors, offering seven days a week delivery, quick service and personalised support.
While the name may have changed, the great customer service and easy ordering system remain the same says Mark McHardy, General Manager Fuel.
“We provide a complete fuel service that includes supply to the bulk fuel, card fuel and lubricant market. We are looking forward to delivering value to new and existing clients including current and potential Farmlands Shareholders.”
The new-look Farmlands Fuel brand, launched at the Mystery Creek Fieldays earlier this year, is now being rolled out around the country as part of the brand alignment for all Farmlands’ divisions taking place over the next 12 months.
Mark McHardy says Farmlands Fuel caters for all fuel and lubricant requirements with competitive pricing, easy ordering options and efficient service.
“For us, customer service is key,” says Mr McHardy.
“We have a dedicated customer support centre and a 15 strong sales support team available throughout New Zealand.”
Farmlands Fuel Starcard is widely accepted at over 300 Caltex and Challenge Service Stations, Caltex Truckstops and the growing Farmlands Fuel network of unmanned 24/7 Fuelstops.
The Farmlands Fuel Starcard is an effective, commercially viable and convenient way to manage a fleet, says Mr McHardy.
“It’s easy to set up and use. It’s accepted all over the country and most importantly it’s secure via PIN access.”
Customers will soon be able to fill up at Farmlands Fuel’s latest refuelling station set to open in Hawke’s Bay later this year.
Located in the Whakatu Industrial Park between Hastings and Napier, this state-of-the-art diesel refuelling facility will cater for most commercial vehicles fuel needs.
The Whakatu Diesel Stop is set up to accept Farmlands Card, the Farmlands Fuel Starcard and is EFTPOS enabled says Farmlands Fuel North Island Sales Manager, Darryl Burt.
“The Whakatu Industrial Park has ever-increasing requirements for a fuel facility in a centralised location so Farmlands Fuel has taken the initiative and will provide a practical solution for our clients and others who need our products and services.”
The facility has a well-designed layout to cater for most diesel powered vehicles plus it is set up for any trailer tank refuelling requirements with our high flow pump capability.
Mr Burt says the unmanned refuelling facility, which will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, will also offer toilet and shower facilities, plus additional services in the future.
“This facility will be a real bonus for the businesses based in Whakatu, as well as any othervehicles wanting to refuel without having to go into the built-up areas of Hastings or Napier.”
“At Farmlands Fuel we are constantly striving to provide the best possible customer care so when the opportunity arose to establish a new refuelling station that would better support diesel users in this area, it was an easy decision to make.”
