Stonewood Homes Announce National Awards for 2013
Brent Mettrick – Managing Director of Stonewood Homes –announced the winners of the Stonewood Franchise Awards at the company’s annual Franchise Conference in Queenstown recently.
Leading the way, the Timaru team of Amy and Nigel Hollamby and Chris Karton took out the company’s Supreme Franchise of the Year award for the second year in a row. The Timaru franchise also won several other major awards including Highest Sales Volume to Budget, Highest Sales Revenue to Budget, and Highest Market Share by Local Authority.
Close on their heels were the East Auckland franchise, who won North Island Franchise of the Year for the second year in a row.
Showhomes have always been a very important part of the Stonewood experience, so not surprisingly this category was once again hotly contested, with Wellington winning North Island Showhome of the year and Marlborough taking out both Southland Island Showhome of the Year and the National Showhome award.
The Marlborough showhome has since gone on to win both a Gold and Category Award in the local Masterbuilders House of the Year.
Other major awards went to Tauranga for Most Improved Franchise, Dunedin who took out Retail Centre of the Year, and Wellington who won Brand Builder of the Year.
Stonewood Homes began in Christchurch in 1987, and have grown to become one of New Zealand’s leading homebuilding companies, with franchises and showhomes throughout New Zealand.
The company has won its share of awards and accolades along the way, and is currently the only home building company to make the prestigious New River list of the Top 50 Green Companies in New Zealand, coming in at a remarkable second on the list. They are also the only New Zealand home building company to sponsor and be involved in the creation of the Homestar energy rating system.
