Cyclists Taken Care of with New Skins Cycle Range
SKINS compression sportswear is now taking better care of cyclists with the launch of its new SKINS CYCLE range for spring/summer 2013. The range, launched at Eurobike in Friedrichshafen, is ideal for cyclists keen to keep up their training whatever the weather throws at them.
The CYCLE range combines SKINS tried and tested compression technology to get more oxygen to muscles while strategically placed seams act as “anchor points”, offering focused muscle support and stability to specific cycling muscles. SKINS see these new products as an evolution – our designers have kept the best elements of the old styles and made updates based on user feedback and the latest fabric and chamois technology developments.
Layer Up
The SKINS CYCLE range comprises compression shorts and bib shorts, compression and non-compression jerseys, as well as the all-important outer layers – a men’s rain jacket and wind vest. The SKINS CYCLE Essentials arm and leg sleeves complete the range – ideal for tackling the Taupo Cycle Challenge, or any of New Zealand’s top-level cycling events.
Key features include:
§  Dynamic gradient compression in C400 garments
§  Gradient compression in C200 garments and CYCLE Essentials leg and arm warmers
§  3+ technical/functional fabrics
§  Reflective heat seals for visibility at night
§  Muscle wrapping
§  Ergonomic seaming
§  Advanced garment construction for cycle specific needs
§  Improved and more accurate fit, based on the ride position
§  Anatomical design
The Chamois – One Feature That Really Makes a Difference
The C400 men’s compression bib shorts and thermal bib longs feature the Elastic Interface® Road Performance Carbonium chamois, specially engineered to meet the demands of pro cyclists who spend long hours on the saddle and need all the support they can get to gain ground. Ultra high density perineal inserts have been tailored according to university research and placed in key pressure points for optimum performance in the road bike position. The perforated base layer provides increased breathability and is quick drying.
C200 men’s and women’s compression bib shorts and shorts feature gender specific Elastic Interface® Fiandre chamois, which are lightweight, three dimensional dual density pads, with excellent freedom of movement, breathability and give an anatomic fit.
