Geographic Business Solutions (GBS) attains Esri Gold Partner Status
AUCKLAND – 20th August, 2013 – Geographic Business Solutions (GBS) are pleased to announce they have become the first organisation in the Asia Pacific region to become a certified Esri Gold Partner. The Esri Partner Network is a worldwide community of companies that develop and deliver cutting-edge solutions and services based on Esri technology. Esri Gold partners must demonstrate a commitment to Esri’s ArcGIS platform as the cornerstone of their solutions and services, working with Esri and the local Esri distributor to achieve agreed business plan objectives aligned with Esri’s vision, goals and industry focus areas. Harley Prowse, Co-Director of GBS says “We are thrilled to be awarded Gold Partner status. This is an endorsement that our work is of the highest standard. We see this as adding value to our clients, as we have additional access to market intelligence, joint sales and marketing activities with Eagle Technology, and dedicated technical advisory support from Esri.”
GBS made the announcement at the Plenary Session of the New Zealand Esri User Conference (NZEUC) held at SkyCity, 19 – 21 August.
Gary Langford, CEO of Eagle Technology, Esri’s New Zealand Distributor, is delighted, “GBS and Eagle Technology have a business relationship reaching back more than 10 years. GBS has been instrumental in delivering high level GIS solutions to local government, government, forestry and agricultural sectors in New Zealand. GBS has shown an outstanding commitment to Esri’s vision and strategy, attending all major Esri meetings including the Esri Worldwide Business Partner Conference, Esri Developer’s Summit and Esri International User Conference. This achievement cements GBS as a key strategic partner as we continue to grow the Esri presence in New Zealand.”
Esri’s Director of Sales, Chris Cappelli, is in New Zealand for NZEUC. He says that “the Gold Partner status is reserved for a small section of Esri’s business partners, typically those that have high-level engagement with organisations at a national level.”
Harley Prowse and Tony Elson are joint directors of GBS, which they established in 2002. GBS specialises in providing tailored business solutions on top of the Esri platform. The company has a reputation for working closely with clients to design and implement high quality solutions.
