Strong 3 News Ratings Set Up 25-54 Win For Tv3

Strong ratings for 3 News helped set up a win for TV3 last night in the channel’s target 25-54 demographic.  TV3 secured the biggest 25-54 audience in the key commercial primetime period, 6pm-10.30pm.

Last night (Monday 19 August), TV3 was watched by an average 25-54 audience of 160,500 viewers, ahead of TV One (153,900) and TV2 (150,900).

The 3 News 6pm bulletin attracted an average 25-54 audience of 169,900 and an average total audience of 340,400 (5+).

“It is gratifying to see the loyalty of 3 News viewers.  Analysis of the ratings shows the bulk of Home and Away viewers switched from TV2 to watch Mike, Hilary and the rest of the team at 6pm.

“It’s early days, but looking at last night’s ratings the change in the lead-in to 3 News has had no impact on our numbers.

“There was also a strong flow through to Campbell Live, again showing there is an appetite for serious current affairs.”

Jamie’s 15 Minute Meals had a solid launch in the 5.25pm timeslot, with a 25-54 audience of 59,000 viewers.
