Ferrari and Maserati specialists Forza Works enlists Booth’s expertise
Auckland-based Forza Works Ltd, highly-regarded for its specialised service centre for Italian and other European
prestige vehicles, has brought well-known New Zealand motorsport personality Andy Booth into the business as a partner.
Founded by Sandro Zanforlini in 2009, Forza Works has proved so popular and successful that the answer to ensuring
continued high standards of customer service and workmanship was for Zanforlini to seek a partner with complementary
skills.
Booth, who currently races in the V8 SuperTourer series and twice won the NZV8 championship, has his own significant
links with prestige cars, in particular the Ferrari and Maserati marques. The Aucklander’s first job after leaving
school in 1993 was as an apprentice Ferrari mechanic for Tim Bailey, the founder of Auckland prestige car dealership
Continental Car Services (CCS). Booth left that role to pursue his motor racing goals in Europe and, once back in New
Zealand, spent four years as the Ferrari and Maserati division manager for CCS.
“It’s immensely pleasing to see how Forza Works has grown,” says Zanforlini who moved the business to larger premises on
New North Road in 2012. “To have formed relationships with passionate owners and to enjoy their trust in our ability to
service their vehicles – these relationships are very important to me and to our small team.
“However the company has grown to such a scale that I was spending too much time away from the workshop floor where my
skills and passion are best utilised. So it was time to bring a partner into the business, someone with the right skills
and the knowledge of these prestigious vehicles.
“In my mind, Andy Booth brings a great deal to the company, especially for our customers. Andy’s strong history with the
Ferrari and Maserati brands, his experience working with customers who expect the best, and his passion for luxury
vehicles all make him the ideal business partner to help our team provide an even better level of service to our
customers.”
Booth is excited by his new venture as a shareholder of Forza Works.
“Sandro has created a thriving operation, a highly-regarded independent service centre which offers the owners of
Ferrari, Maserati, Fiat and Alfa Romeo and most other prestige European brands with the specialised knowledge, latest
diagnostic equipment and a true passion for repairing and servicing these vehicles,” Booth says.
“Sandro has invested considerable time and money to ensure Forza Works has the best equipment, latest diagnostic
technology and skilled personnel to create a full capability service centre for late model Italian and prestige European
models.
“Forza Works does all kinds of repair and service work including mechanical and electrical faults, complete engine and
gearbox overhauling, restoration, performance upgrading and tuning. The company also offers a ‘flying doctor’ service
for customers outside Auckland.”
Booth adds: “For me, it’s brilliant to be working with the Ferrari and Maserati brands again and I’m excited by the
possibilities ahead of us. Sandro has created an excellent niche with his specialised knowledge and abilities. Together
we aim to make our customers’ experiences even better and develop new products and services with which to build even
stronger relationships with passionate owners of thoroughbred Italian and prestige vehicles around New Zealand.”
Booth commences his new role of general manager with Forza Works on 19 August and also looks forward to returning to the
race track with Woodstock Racing for the next round of the BNT V8 SuperTourers in Taupo at the end of August.
