Chartered Accountants Also Brilliant Bakers!
Wellington Chartered Accountancy firm, BW, will be switching their calculators and spreadsheets for mixing bowls and measuring cups in order to help the Wellington SPCA raise funds with their annual “Cupcake Day for the SPCA” fundraiser.
The BW Bakers, as they affectionately call themselves will be baking hundreds of cupcakes and slices to sell to their clients, friends, neighbours and the general public with 100% of the sales going directly to the Wellington SPCA – a branch they work with professionally, too!
Each cupcake and slice will cost $3.00 each and will be delivered to the purchasers CBD workplace on Monday 26th August.
Purchasers can choose from Peta’s scrumptious surprise slice or Anastasia’s Very Vanilla cupcakes and can order through the BW website order form at http://www.bwaccountants.co.nz/toolbox/cupcake_day_for_the_spca or by ringing 04-385-8628.
The whole team will be taking part in the baking, icing and delivery, despite some feeling slightly anxious about it. “Honestly, I’m a rubbish baker, it’ll be pretty obvious which ones are mine” says Clayton Webb, associate of the firm. “I love baking!” says Anastasia Smith, junior accountant at BW, “it’s so relaxing – I’m really looking forward to it, and I will be checking all the cupcakes that go out to make sure they are absolutely perfect – I’m a stickler for detail!”
“I’m not a fan of making cupcakes, so I’m going to make a surprise slice instead” says Peta Walker, Owner of BW Chartered Accountants.
