MEDIA RELEASE (7 August 2013)
Biological Farming promoted at World Hindu Economic Conference
The World Hindu Economic Forum (WHEF) is organising its 2nd conference with the theme “Strengthening Economy, Shaping Future”, on August 10-11, 2013 at Bangkok, Thailand.
Following on from the highly successful forum held at Hong Kong last year, Bangkok has been chosen for this year’s conference for its centralized location in ASEAN as well as its convenient access from the world, and globally acclaimed hospitality of the land of smiles.
Leading industrialists, traders, bankers, technocrats, economists, investors, businessmen, academicians, thought leaders and more will converge at WHEF 2013 at Bangkok to share their knowledge, experience and expertise on business opportunities and creation of wealth, in line with the WHEF’s avowed vision “To Make Society Prosperous”.
Dr Guna Magesan, Hindu New Zealander, currently working as a Professor in Fiji has been invited to give keynote address on biological farming systems and related business opportunities among the business community and investors from around the world. He has also been invited to chair a session on “Patents, SME & Good Governance, Agriculture, Quality, and Future”.
Following this invitation, Dr Magesan circulated an email to biological farming community in New Zealand if the biological farming companies or land owners are looking for investment (or business partners in other countries). A number of companies have come forward with ideas, suggestions, and showing interest for business partnerships and collaborations.
“I hope this conference will be beneficial to both Hindu business community and New Zealand biological farming community,” said Professor Guna Magesan.
Many are aware that Dr Magesan helped setting up NZ Biological Farming Systems Research Centre with Te Arawa Federation of Maori Authorities and Rotorua/Taupo Province of Federated Farmers. He was the project scientist for the BFS research centre and organised the first national conference on biological farming systems in October 2011 in Rotorua.
WHEF is an initiative to create and synergize positive and mutually beneficial networking opportunities to facilitate the re-emergence of the wealth and economic prowess of Hindu civilizations globally.
WHEF forum will provide the much-needed platform for Hindu professionals to connect with prominent, inspirational personalities from all over the world to learn about and benefit from immediate and long-term goals in shaping the future. WHEF will enable networking and synergize information sharing and mutual assistance between the delegates and their organizations.
WHEF 2013 at Bangkok could not have come at a more appropriate time, as the fast-developing economies of ASEAN gear up for AEC integration (ASEAN Economic Community) and seek to forge stronger linkages with Bharat (India) and developed countries of the west. The adherents of Hindu Dharma, from every corner of the world – with a population exceeding 1 billion and its deep cultural and trade linkages with 600 million people in ASEAN, represents enormous and mutually beneficial markets.
“The countdown to the World Hindu Economic Forum 2013 has begun now. We are getting good response from the business representatives from around the world. Please note that participation in the WHEF 2013 is by invitation only,” said, Susheel Kumar Saraff, WHEF Steering Committee Member & Chairman, Organizing Committee, WHEF 2013.
“The event has attracted some of the best thought leaders and the audience will immensely benefit from the visionary thoughts of these speakers,” added Mr Saraff.
Over 30 distinguished speakers and eminent panellists shall lead the forum, covering topics as diverse as “Opportunities and Challenges from Free Trade, Regional Economic Communities and new Geographical Areas”, “Enormous Opportunities in Alternative Energy”, “Patents, SME & Good Governance, Agriculture, Quality, and Future”, “Affordable Capital for Business and Industry” and “Inspiring Youth and Strengthening Economy”, and many more.
The World Hindu Economic Forum – Strengthening Economy and Shaping Future – will be held during August 10-11, 2013 at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel, Tower – 2, Charoen Krung Soi 30, Bangrak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand.
