Kathryn Wilson previews S/S ‘13 at Clicquot in the Snow
For Immediate Release - Monday 5th August 2013
Champagne and shoes were perfectly matched at Clicquot in the Snow ‘An Evening with Kathryn Wilson and Veuve Clicquot’ in Queenstown on Saturday 3rd August. Guests enjoyed a catwalk show preview of the designer’s S/S ’13 collection whilst sipping on Veuve Clicquot Brut NV.
The event, held at Michael Hill’s private venue The Hills Golf Club in Arrowtown, was attended by locals and VIP guests including Josh Emett, Peter Urlich and top NZ fashion blogger Katherine Lowe.
“Veuve Clicquot has had a long standing affiliation with successful women in business so we are very proud to have Kathryn Wilson as an ambassador – she is the perfect embodiment of success, glamour and audacity,” says Rai Banbury, Veuve Clicquot NZ senior brand manager.
“Madame Clicquot took the reigns of the champagne house at the young age of 27 and turned it into an empire, Kathryn has done the same for footwear in New Zealand. Saturday night was a huge success and we are so excited about the new collection. ”
"Being a part of 'Clicquot in the Snow' was a real privilege,” says Kathryn Wilson. "We were thrilled to showcase our summer collection in such a brilliant setting at the Hills, Queenstown, and to host our local customers and stockists who have supported the brand over the last 10 years.
"My role as ambassador for a luxury brand such as Veuve Clicquot is a real honour, and I'm excited about our future collaborations."
The Kathryn Wilson S/S ‘13 collection will be available for purchase via stockists nationwide from next week.
Yesterday Clicquot in the Snow wrapped up the week with ‘Clicquot Sunday Sessions’ at Barmuda Bar, hosted by Jay Reeve.
The annual Clicquot in the Snow festival has been held in resorts from Tignes to Aspen to Thredbo and for the third year running added Queenstown to its list of worldwide winter destinations. Veuve Clicquot lit up the town and transformed Queenstown into a hive of style, sophistication and gastronomic sensation with an array of events for the public to enjoy.
