Fly Free to Auckland with Air Tahiti Nui’s Great Kiwi Shout

To celebrate the increase in flights between Auckland and the USA, Air Tahiti Nui has announced that it will pick up the cost of connecting domestic airfares from Christchurch or Wellington to Auckland, so that more Kiwis can take advantage of the airline’s enhanced global network.

The free flights are available with Jetstar, which recently added more flights on the main trunk from Wellington and Christchurch.

Air Tahiti Nui General Manager New Zealand, Mark Hutchinson, said he was confident the free domestic flights would entice more Kiwis onto the airline’s smart one-stop flights to Los Angeles, with add-ons to over 40 North America destinations beyond.

“This isn’t an offer or a sale, we’re simply making it easier for guests to enjoy our popular Los Angeles product by shouting the domestic airfare to Auckland,” Mr Hutchinson said.

“Our thrice weekly New Zealand flights have convenient arrival and departure times, which makes it easy for our customers from further afield to connect the same day with Jetstar - so jump on board, it’s on us.”

Fly return to Los Angeles from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch (year round) from $1695*, including connecting domestic flights with Jetstar from Wellington and Christchurch.

“With free domestic flights and Tahiti as a stopover, we expect to see substantial growth on our enhanced US route,” Mr Hutchinson added.

From December, weekly flights from Auckland to Los Angeles via Papeete will increase to three in both directions. The additional services and free domestic flights are available to book now.

The airline is also in the process of updating its fleet of Airbus A340-300 aircraft with a complete cabin enhancement including more comfortable seats and a new inflight entertainment system which delivers tablet-quality viewing.
