SAP Introduces Unified Cloud Portfolio to New Zealand
Localised solutions, enabled partners and bolstered sales-delivery team to accelerate cloud adoption in New Zealand
Auckland, July 23, 2013 – SAP today announced the introduction of its full portfolio of cloud solutions to the New Zealand market, including a localised version of its cloud-based suite SAP Business ByDesign. Coinciding with the introduction, the company also announced investment in its local partner ecosystem, as well as its sales-delivery infrastructure to help New Zealand organisations in their journey to the cloud.
With the introduction, SAP is bringing its innovations and investments in the cloud, including its acquisitions of SuccessFactors and Ariba, to bear in the market, with the proven advantages of quick deployment, short time to value and rapid innovation.
“New Zealand organisations of all sizes now have access to SAP’s industry, business-process and integration expertise in a flexible, opex deployment model,” says Graeme Riley, Managing Director, SAP New Zealand.
SAP’s cloud portfolio is the most comprehensive in the market, with solutions supporting organisations’ processes for managing money, serving customers, engaging and developing their people and working with suppliers.
Localisation of SAP Business ByDesign includes various enhancements to reflect New Zealand tax, employment, financial and formatting requirements.
A common cloud architecture for all SAP solutions based on the SAP HANA Cloud Platform enables real-time capabilities and a hybrid deployment model with SAP and non-SAP cloud and on-premise systems.
SAP’s high-performance cloud solutions run on data centres certified by leading standards organisations and exhibit advanced network and physical security, reliable data backup and built-in compliance, integrity and confidentiality.
SAP’s network of partners is also investing to deliver its cloud solutions to the market. Long-time SAP partner Soltius, with one of the largest SAP consulting teams in New Zealand, has taken on additional staff and will work to employ additional people with the skills needed to introduce SAP’s offerings to a wider market and support new customers.
“The introduction of SAP’s extensive cloud solutions in a unified portfolio means that Soltius can grow in areas that were previously unavailable to us,” says Nick Mulcahy, Soltius’ General Manager – Futures.
SAP seeks to widen its network of local and global cloud partners in New Zealand as well.
Also supporting adoption, SAP has bolstered its sales delivery team to support New Zealand organisations in their journey to the cloud:
Tony Armfield: SuccessFactors Area Vice President, Australia and New Zealand
Appointed in July 2013, Armfield is responsible for bringing the value of cloud solutions from SuccessFactors, an SAP company, to organisations of all sizes, helping them drive workforce strategies and insights with confidence and empower their people to take charge of their careers.
Keir Garrett: Head of SAP Cloud Solutions for New Zealand
Appointed in July, 2013 Garrett is responsible for the go-to-market and sales delivery of the SAP Cloud solutions portfolio, covering all customer and financial line-of-business solutions, excluding human capital management and supplier solutions.
SAP has also established a local sales support team, including cloud presales and cloud business development, to help deliver the value of SAP’s cloud portfolio. The company will continue to hire in this space to best support New Zealand customers.
“Now that our entire cloud portfolio is in place for New Zealand, as well as our partner and sales-delivery infrastructure, we expect to see a great deal more users working with our cloud solutions,” Garrett says.
Globally, SAP offers a comprehensive portfolio of cloud applications, with over 29 million users in the cloud, along with experience with the world’s largest cloud implementations and an unparalleled user experience. The solutions reflect SAP’s industry expertise from more than 238,000 SAP customers in 191 countries across 25 industries.
