Philips launches the Fidelio
Soundbar - wireless detachable speakers with real surround
sound
Auckland, New Zealand – Philips has launched its new Fidelio Soundbar. With detachable wireless surround speakers and a wireless subwoofer, the Fidelio Soundbar gives consumers all the benefits of surround sound without the clutter of traditional home theatre systems.
The Fidelio Soundbar (HTL9100) has an in-built orientation sensor which instantly optimises audio quality and detects whether the Soundbar is placed horizontally or vertically, such as mounted on a wall or sitting on a shelf. By using Smart Surround and Equalization technology, the home theatre system analyses and dynamically controls the sonic signals to provide a well-balanced surround experience.
Philips Virtual Surround Sound transforms input from any high quality stereo source into multi-channel surround sound, producing a rich and immersive sound experience. With the Philips Fidelio Soundbar there is no need to purchase additional speakers, wires or stands to achieve optimal sound.
The Philips Fidelio Soundbar home theatre can be used in a standard configuration to enjoy high quality audio from TV shows and movies, or the detachable wireless speakers can be moved anywhere in the room. Also with Dolby Digital and Pro Logic II surround sound, the Fidelio Soundbar home theatre offers richer sound for watching and listening to TV and movies.
The Fidelio Soundbar also features Bluetooth for streaming tunes stored on mobiles or tablets, and two HDMI inputs enable 3D playback and crystal-clear 5.1 or 7.1 audio, giving users complete control over how they enjoy their home entertainment system.
All Philips Fidelio products must not only pass product testing using the latest technology, but also pass the Philips Golden Ears blind preference test before being made available to consumers. So, the quality of sound heard by the human ear is the final arbiter of market readiness.
In addition to the high-end Fidelio Soundbar, Philips has increased its audio range with the launch of the HTL2100, HTL2150 and the HTL2160 Soundbar models. These models let consumers connect and enjoy music from their iPod, iPhone or MP3 player. They are also compatible with TVs, DVD players and gaming consoles, giving consumers Virtual Surround Sound, for a realistic movie experience.
The Philips Soundbar range will be
available from mid-August
2013.
