Economic data suggest growth in the NZ economy is accelerating – but for first home buyers almost everything is against
improving home ownership. 339 words
Debt growth is lifting in the household sector but not for businesses. Vehicle registrations are generally rising. 311

Rates have been steady this week but the trend is upward with hefty, and volatile, influence from US tapering
expectation changes. 141 words

All eyes again are on monthly US employment data this Friday night and the result has strong capacity to cause exchange
rate and interest rate changes. Across the ditch data have weakened anew and Chinese data releases have also led to
renewed worries about the strength of economic growth this year. 864 words.
The NZD has jumped to almost 86 Aussie cents while changing little on the crosses. This move largely reflects a fall in
the AUD as expectations grow of yet another easing of monetary policy. 177 words
