New NZAEP Bursaries Programme Launched

5 July 2013

New NZAEP Bursaries Programme Launched

Ten attendees of New Zealand’s premier events industry conference will be the lucky recipients of the inaugural Professional Development Bursary.

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment and the New Zealand Association of Events Professionals are offering the bursaries to attend the annual Eventing the Future 2013 (ETF13), to be held in Auckland from August 14-15.

The bursaries will provide registration for successful entrants, and are being offered as part of the ongoing partnership between the two organisations. They are aimed at event career-focused individuals who want to make a difference within the industry, and who can demonstrate how the conference will assist their professional development.

“The bursary will support the professional development of recipients in a variety of ways, and I particularly hope that it encourages the attendance at the conference of even more up-and-coming event organisers,” said Kylie Archer, Manager New Zealand Major Events.

Terri Van Schooten, Chair of the NZAEP says that developing capability within the NZ events industry is one of the membership association's key drivers and "it is great that the NZAEP is in a position to partner with NZME to make it easier for some of the country's most ambitious event professionals to attend the national conference.”

To apply for the Professional Development Bursary, simply answer the following questions and email them to: to info@nzaep.co.nz no later than 17 July. Please attach your professional profile or CV.
