Dave Hawkey, Manager South, says “having the support both financially and strategically of all the regional tourism organisations in the South Island is a significant milestone as we collectively resource sales and marketing activity in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Having someone of Swallow’s calibre with her knowledge of the South Island of New Zealand, coupled with her relationship with trade in Chinese market will prove invaluable.”

The South Island is currently only receiving 25% of Chinese arrivals into New Zealand. Many travellers’ book their trip to New Zealand with the expectation of experiencing stunning scenery, mountains, lakes and associated activities. The South Island delivers on this promise.
