Good old Kiwi Hospitality is back
EMBARGOED until 5.30pm Tuesday 2 July
Finding a place to eat, drink or sleep has just got easier, says Hospitality New Zealand President Adam Cunningham. The new mobile kiwihospitality.co.nz website delivers 2300 hospitality businesses straight in to a smart phone, and will give customers a choice of a venue that can provide what they are looking for closest to their location. It will then supply either walking or driving directions on how to get there.
Visitors will be able to choose from a range of options including accommodation, bars, cafes and restaurants, entertainment venues or off-licences with the touch of a couple of buttons. Kiwihospitality will also guide visitors to the nearest i-site to ensure they make the most of their visit.
New Zealand has a tremendous record of providing great kiwi hospitality, and kiwihospitality.co.nz is another step in ensuring both international and domestic visitors can find what they are looking for quickly and find out how to get there. Customers will also have the opportunity to rate their experience as a guide for fellow travellers, said Mr Cunningham.
Note: The official launch will be undertaken tonight at 5.30pm, 2nd Floor, Radio Network House, Wellington, by the Associate Minister of Tourism, the Honourable Chris Tremain.
