Flight Centre Invests For Success

On track for their best result in five years, Flight Centre believes that investing in your staff and rewarding them is the key to success, and as such, they will be holding one of the countries largest corporate black tie events at Vector Arena in Auckland this weekend.

Flight Centre New Zealand’s managing director, Mike Friend, says that Flight Centre is so successful because it has continued to invest in its people, despite the challenging economic climate.

“It hasn’t been smooth sailing over the past few years, particularly with the global financial crisis and the impact that had on Kiwis wanting to travel, but Flight Centre has continued to make a significant investment into rewarding its people every year, and the results have come.

“We recognise the importance of investing in our staff because at the end of the day, they are the people who drive the success of our business. The 2012 – 2013 financial year has been very successful for Flight Centre New Zealand and the national ball is crucial to these results. It’s a huge motivator to our staff, to be recognised in front of their peers and their leaders, across the country.”

Organised by Flight Centre’s event agency, cievents, the ball will host almost 1,600 employees, sponsors and partners to the theme of ‘Mad Hatter’. Planning commenced in August 2012 and promises to be a night to remember with New Zealand’s best dance company and a contortionist providing just a fraction of the entertainment on the evening. After the event, 175 of Flight Centre New Zealand’s top performers will travel to Cancun to be recognised at a global Flight Centre conference.
