Flying a loved one home

Flying a loved one home
Press Release: Harcourts
24 June 2013

A military wife who lives permanently overseas, a granddad who wants to see his grandson, a Cantabrian who hasn’t been home since the big quake.

These are some of the emotional reasons New Zealanders have given as to why their loved ones should be flown home.

This year is Harcourts’ 125th birthday and, to mark the occasion, the company wants to bring families and friends back together.

People from around New Zealand have been asked to nominate someone living overseas to win a free trip home for their birthday.

Nominations have now closed, and you can go online to vote for your favourite cause at the Harcourts New Zealand Facebook page. Click on the FlyMyFriendHome link to read some amazing stories and cast your vote.

Harcourts New Zealand Chief Executive Officer Hayden Duncan came up with the idea to fly someone home in recognition of Harcourts’ 125th birthday.

“It’s important to be around family and friends on your birthday and we thought this was a fitting addition to our celebrations this year.”

Established in 1888 in Wellington by J.B Harcourt, Harcourts has become New Zealand’s largest real estate group and is now exporting services and systems into eight countries around the globe. Still privately New Zealand owned after 125 years, Harcourts is an iconic Kiwi business success story. www.harcourts.co.nz

Voting closes on Sunday June 30.
