Massive Snowfall Blankets Peppers Bluewater Resort
20 June 2013: Peppers Bluewater Resort, Lake Tekapo is blanketed in about 1.3 metres of snow, the biggest snow dump in the region for twenty years, and there's more to come over the next 48 hours.
The snow started falling about 6pm last night and the Peppers Bluewater team awoke to a thick blanket of snow over the resort - a skier's delight.
Peppers Bluewater Resort General Manger Andrew Freak says, "The snow is predicted to keep falling until Saturday - great for skiers!
"We've currently got 100 in-house guests who are all in good spirits and enjoying the snow, and we're keeping them warm and nourished with soup and hot chocolate."
