Lombart joins Black Cat as new marketing and sales manager

17 June 2013

Natasha Lombart has joined leading tourism operator Black Cat Cruises as its new Sales and Marketing Manager.

Black Cat Cruises has been operating in Banks Peninsula for more than 26 years running harbour cruises and dolphin swimming trips. Lombart has a strong marketing and media background having previously worked in the UK for Hearst Media as Creative Solutions Manager for the Luxury Group which included Harper’s Bazaar and Esquire magazines in its diverse media portfolio.

“I was involved in quite a range of media and marketing activities in London and I’m now really looking forward to working in tourism in New Zealand,” she says. “It’s such an exciting industry and New Zealand is such a beautiful country it’s a real privilege to be involved in its promotion.”

English born and bred Lombart has relocated to New Zealand for ‘its lifestyle and landscape.’ “I’m really looking forward to the summer season kicking off and delivering a world class experience whilst championing Black Cat’s conservation work and education whilst also growing our retail offering.”

“Akaroa Harbour has such a diversity of marine wildlife, birdlife, rich history and amazing volcanic origins. You can swim with hector's dolphins the world’s rarest and smallest, go on a Akaroa Harbour nature cruise or charter your own private cruise from either Lyttelton or Akaroa Harbour.” She adds that Black Cat also works with other groups to provide activities, like the Department of Conservation’s Kiwi Ranger Programme and will be this year’s sponsor the Society for Marine Mammalogy’s 20th Biennial Conference on the Biology of Marine Mammals held in New Zealand.

“Black Cat creates some of the most memorable experiences to be had on the water in New Zealand, and it’s great to now have my opportunity to play a role in that.”
