Safe Air announces review

Blenheim based aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul business, Safe Air, has entered into consultation with staff over a proposed restructure of the business.

Since 2005, Safe Air has been supporting the significant upgrades of the Royal New Zealand Air Force’s C-130 Hercules and P3 Orion aircraft fleets. As these programmes are concluded over the coming 12 months it is necessary to reposition the business for reduced future work flow.

The proposed restructure could see around 80 roles disestablished across the business including management, support staff and production staff. The prime focus now is to work through the consultation with staff to finalise the company’s future structure and to support staff through this change.
