Investing in people and business pays off for Frucor
New Zealand-born drinks company Frucor Beverages has invested heavily in its long-term growth over the last 12 months, with a new manufacturing line, distribution centre and plans for a significant new R centre underway at its South Auckland base. However, during this time the company has also continued to invest in its people. This has paid off, as Frucor have been recognised as one of New Zealand’s best employers.
Frucor, which manufactures household brands such as Just Juice, V and H2Go, have been accredited an Aon Hewitt Best Employer, one of only three New Zealand companies to achieve this award.
CEO Mark Callaghan is proud Frucor has been recognised for maintaining its unique culture and high engagement, while future-proofing for growth, and the change and disruption that can bring.
“It has been an exciting but challenging time for Frucor. Our people are highly engaged and we want to not only maintain that but use it to our advantage as we embark on our significant investment projects and ultimately grow the business.
“We are growing physically with a state-of the art manufacturing line and distribution centre being built at our Manukau site. We have also been investing in our brands and really getting them on the map, achieving things that we may not have thought possible, such as the visit from Usain Bolt earlier this year. We have also pushed ourselves to renovate some of our core brands such as h2go, Fresh Up and Just Juice. Our people are highly engaged, but they are also hungry for more success, and to be better.
“We are determined to ensure our people maintain their pride and passion for their work at Frucor. This accreditation is testament to our success.”
This is the second time Frucor has been accredited a best employer, their first success came in 2011.
