Chelsea Winter Treats Kiwi Mums
Eleven Kiwi Mothers were treated to a special cooking demonstration last night by Chelsea Winter, winner of Master Chef New Zealand 2012.
The lucky few were chosen to attend the event, held at Neat Meat in Ponsonby Central, via a Beef + Lamb New Zealand Facebook competition staged in celebration of Mother’s Day.
They each invited a friend to join them as they enjoyed the tips and tastings of two of Chelsea’s recipes published in mEAT Magazine - a free recipe and meat guide produced by Beef + Lamb New Zealand.
Chelsea also demonstrated how to prepare a lamb rack and gave the crowd plenty of handy hints on beef and lamb preparation and cookery.
“It’s exciting to be part of educating Kiwis on how to cook delicious, no-fuss meals using lean beef and lamb which the whole family can enjoy,” says Chelsea.
Chelsea invited her own mother-in-law along to join the celebration.
“Kiwi mums are invincible; not only do they balance work, look after the house and raise a family, they also cook! I love that I’m able to treat them for once.”
Chelsea is now working on developing recipes for the next issue of mEAT Magazine due in store in August.
The event was supported by Campbell’s Real Stock, Dish Magazine, Kenwood, Kim Crawford and Neat Meat.
