Bolton Hotel Appoints Meredith Ryan Hotel Manager
The Bolton Hotel, Wellington’s only boutique, five-star hotel, has today announced a key personnel change, which sees Meredith Ryan take over the position of Hotel Manager, effective immediately.
Since opening in February 2005, the Bolton has firmly established itself as a hotel of unparalleled quality in Wellington’s CBD. Frequently ranked the Number One Hotel in the capital on the world’s largest travel site, www.tripadvisor.com, the Bolton also recently received recognition in their ‘Best of 2013’ travellers’ choice poll, ranked as one of the top 25 hotels in New Zealand; the only hotel in Wellington to make the list.
Warwick Angus, the Bolton Hotel’s Managing Director said: “We are delighted that Meredith has decided to take on this position. She is a true asset to the Bolton Hotel and her skills and expertise will ensure the smooth running of the hotel continues. Promoting her to the position of Hotel Manager was an easy decision to make as we know her strengths, capabilities and passion for the Bolton Hotel. With Meredith at the helm we are in good hands.”
Meredith has significant experience working in the tourism and hospitality sector, starting out with part time positions while still undertaking her studies at High School. Since that time she has obtained a Diploma of Tourism and Business Management and has honed her skills working in a variety of roles, from front of house to Corporate Business Manager.
Meredith joined the Bolton Hotel team in 2007. Prior to that she worked at the luxury Wharekauhau Country Estate in the Wairarapa and in Wellington’s Wellesley Hotel.
She also spent two years in the United Kingdom, working at the Carlton Hotel in Edinburgh for one year, backed up by another year at the Cardiff Conference Bureau in Wales.
“I am thrilled to be taking over the position of Hotel Manager. The Bolton Hotel is such a special place and I can honestly say that I really love my job. The Bolton Hotel is known for its extremely high levels of service, it is really important to us that our clients get a faultless service and want to return. I look forward to working with our awesome team to maintain that high level, while also stamping my mark on this role.”
“It is great to see Meredith taking to the role with such confidence and enthusiasm. We have a lot planned for the next few months as we strive to provide the ultimate hotel experience for all of our guests. Having high quality staff is a big part of that. The future of the Bolton Hotel looks very bright,” said Warwick Angus.
