Coopers Creek Vineyard: Riding a Wave with a Stylish New Look
There’s a fresh and contemporary design for Coopers Creek as it rides strong sales growth, having released its popular Premium range of New Zealand wines in stylish new packaging.
With growth in the New Zealand market of 50% in the last two years Coopers Creek is riding a wave of demand from customers discovering the brand and its superb wines for the first time, as well as old friends renewing their acquaintance. Sharing the winery’s story with a new generation of wine lovers has led to the development of a smart new look for the brand and the packaging, starting with the award winning Premium range of varietals.
Coopers Creek offer an impressive choice of wines from Albariño to Pinot Noir, Viognier to Sauvignon Blanc and Montepulciano to Pinot Gris – possibly the widest choice of styles from any winery in New Zealand. Coopers Creek fans can enjoy wines from Kumeu, Gisborne, the Hawkes Bay, Marlborough and Central Otago, all crafted by long-standing winemaker Simon Nunns. It’s no wonder the new catch-cry from the winery is “Share Our Sense of Adventure”.
The re-branded Premium range backs that positioning with a design that evokes the stream bordering the vineyard, the actual Coopers Creek itself. It’s eye catching on the shelf and tasteful on the table; a look that truly reflects the premium wine in the bottle. The new brand presentation is on the market in New Zealand and soon to be available in the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States, markets where the winery enjoys a strong and growing profile.
Emphasising the award winning quality of the Premium range is a Gold Medal this month for the Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012 from the Concours Mondial du Sauvignon competition in France. This was one of only four Gold Medals secured by New Zealand. In the Select Vineyard tier, the 2011 Hawkes Bay “Chalk Ridge” Viognier topped the recent Cuisine magazine tasting for this style; the second year in a row a Coopers Creek Viognier has achieved this accolade.
With wines that consistently impress and a stylish look that’s winning new fans, Coopers Creek’s latest adventure is only just beginning.
Coopers Creek Vineyard is a Kumeu-based winery, which crafts a range of award winning fine wines: New Zealand's favourite styles as well as intriguing emerging varietals. The winery is fuelling demand for stylish alternatives such as Albariño, Arneis, and Viognier, in addition to its outstanding pedigree with Chardonnay, Syrah and Bordeaux reds. Coopers Creek is a major wine exporter, with almost 85% of its sales to international markets, as well as being a widely known and popular brand in New Zealand.
