Small Businesses Collaborate to Put the "Heart of New Zealand" On the Map..
There are those that are "Dreamers" and those that "Do" Make their dreams a reality.
What began as one woman's dream to put the Nelson, Tasman & Golden Bay region on the map has become a reality and testimony to the power of collaboration of small businesses
working together to achieve a common goal, in what is tough economic times for many tourism operators & small business in general.
Some of the most picturesque scenery in New Zealand is in the Nelson, Tasman, Golden Bay region, where three of New
Zealand's most stunning national park are located. The Abel Tasman, Nelson Lakes & Kahurangi National Parks.
As the top of the south is slightly off the beaten track , it has always been a challenge to encourage travellers to
divert to Nelson. Travellers don't pass through Nelson from Picton Ferry heading to Christchurch and on to
Queenstown. Many internationals miss the area completely, those that do make it, fall in love with the place. Hence why
Tasman area is the fastest growing region for migrants from the UK, chosing to make NZ their home & most kiwi's will tell you, the region rates as one of the most stunning places in the world, a best kept secret, but
not for long if a solid working group of diverse small businesses have their way..

The "Dream Maker Wedding Contest" has attracted 150+ entries via theMOREFM website in Nelson, from which 6 couples will be chosen to carry out a number of fun and public challenges around the
area during the month of June.. The winner will have a DREAM wedding & 12 day Honeymoon package worth 30,000 + in prize value. From a honeymoon night at the prestigious elite $3,000 per

The winner’s entire wedding will be filmed and produced as the second in a series of videos to market the Nelson,
Tasman & Golden Bay region as an international wedding destination.

much interest, beingfashioned more like a music video than a promotional video, has had over 500 views on youtube
within the first few hours of being available. With Nelson based Aly Cook being involved there has already been
international interest from a music show going on Satellite TV Channels across UK, Ireland who will be interviewing Aly & playing the video and a story in Music News Nashville with a great story today onMainland Television
