“Outstanding" Mitsubishi dealers collect Diamond accolades
Seven Mitsubishi Motors dealers, from Auckland to Timaru, were awarded the company’s prestigious Diamond Dealer accolade
at a black-tie celebration in Queenstown on 18 May.
The winning dealers all "excelled in customer service, sales and dealership operations" said Mitsubishi’s sales and
marketing GM Warren Brown. “They rose to the challenge to deliver across-the-board results that were simply outstanding
and earn themselves the Diamond Dealer trophy, our pinnacle award that brings peer and market recognition for overall
excellence."
The new Diamond Dealers are: Matthew Wales of Andrew Simms Mitsubishi, Newmarket; Mark Barton of Auckland Motors
Mitsubishi, Manukau; Darrell Russell of Piako Mitsubishi, Morrinsville; Simon Lucas of Simon Lucas Mitsubishi, North
Shore; Wayne Kirk of Wayne Kirk Mitsubishi, Napier and Hastings; Phil Downing of Caroline Motors Mitsubishi, Timaru; and
parts and service dealer Phil Saxton of Hutt City Mitsubishi.
“While these dealers proved themselves exceptional”, said Mr Brown, “the whole Mitsubishi dealer network is to be
congratulated for bringing about an unprecedented 40 months of continuous year-on-year growth that has resulted in more
and more owners enjoying a Mitsubishi”.
Auckland Motors Mitsubishi, picking up a record 10th Diamond Dealer award, also won the award for the highest level of
customer satisfaction among the group of larger dealers, and were the first recipients of a new “people’s choice” award
voted by Mitsubishi’s management team, recognising the dealership’s dedication to the Mitsubishi brand.
