Cadbury Brings Extra Joy By Adding More Chocolate to New Zealand’s Favourite Chocolate Block
Cadbury Dairy Milk family chocolate blocks will feature bigger rounder pieces for the same price on specially marked ‘Extra Joy’ packs.  All nut varieties will also have whole nuts.
Cadbury’s mission to bring more joy to New Zealanders gathered pace today with the announcement that it is making some changes to New Zealand’s favourite chocolate block, Cadbury Dairy Milk.
Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate fans will  enjoy more chocolate for the same price on specially marked ‘Extra Joy’ family block packs. This means that in participating major retailers the ‘10% Extra Joy packs’ will be priced in the same range as the normal retail price of Cadbury’s old 190g and 200g blocks (excluding clearances).
The developments to the iconic Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate block range are all about boosting Kiwis’ enjoyment of Cadbury chocolate and bringing a little bit more joy to their everyday lives.
Cadbury’s Joyville kitchen hands have been busy pumping up the chocolate pieces making them bigger and rounder so there’s even more smooth and creamy deliciousness in every bite. Cadbury has also included, whole nuts in all block nut varieties – Cadbury Dairy Milk Fruit & Nut and Roast Almond, and it has introduced a new Hazelnut variety which is sure to delight nut-lovers.
Cadbury’s flagship Cadbury Dairy Milk block will now be available in a new 220g pack (specially marked '10% more joy') – an increase from the previous 200g size – and we’ve kept the same affordable price.[1].
“We listen to our customers and through extensive testing and research they’ve told us they prefer the new rounder pieces which really enhance the smooth and creamy eating experience and their enjoyment of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate, so we set about making this happen,” said Alastair de Raadt, managing director at Cadbury New Zealand.
“Cadbury has a proud 100-plus year history of product evolution – we’re always innovating and evolving to bring delicious and exciting new chocolate products that are a joy to eat and we’re looking forward to feedback from our customers about these latest enhancements.”
The new resealable pack makes it easy to peel and reseal, allowing customers to enjoy and share some now and save some for later.
As part of the new changes, Cadbury is also introducing a new 135g Cadbury Dairy Milk block size, designed specifically with small families in mind, to be enjoyed as a family sharing treat, but also ideal for sharing occasions for couples.
The enhancements to the Cadbury Dairy Milk blocks range follows the launch of Joyville, the magical and mythical place where Cadbury Dairy Milk is made. These new changes are in-line with the Joyville philosophy that is all about making the world a more joyful place.
The new look Cadbury Dairy Milk is starting to appear around New Zealand and by mid-May, the full range of new look Cadbury Dairy Milk will be available, wherever Cadbury Dairy Milk is sold.
