Luxury Real Estate Company New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty Launches In Nelson

Queenstown-based luxury real estate company New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty has expanded its network into Nelson.

The company, which has offices throughout New Zealand, has recruited well-known local Simone Henbrey to the team as part of its strategy to grow the brand across the country.

Ms Henbrey is highly-regarded in the Nelson area for her work on restoring the town’s historic Melrose House, and has a strong background in real estate.

She managed the Melrose House project for four years and was responsible for fundraising, organising open days and attracting sponsorship to ensure the property, built around 1879, was returned to its former glory.

Ms Henbrey is no stranger to real estate – she started her property career in 1995 in Auckland, where she was responsible for the marketing and sales of period homes in Mt Eden before moving to Nelson in 2005.

She is also an experienced and award-winning interior designer, graduating from the Auckland School of Interior Design and New York’s Sheffield School of Interior Design. .

New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty General Manager Peter Newbold said Nelson was an obvious choice for the expansion of the company in New Zealand and that Ms Henbrey was a “perfect fit” for the team.

“The Nelson area has some spectacular homes from period villas to stunning lifestyle blocks with amazing sea views, all of which perfectly reflect the Sotheby’s International Realty philosophy,” said Mr Newbold.

“Simone’s passion for real estate and her tireless efforts in the restoration of Melrose House show her commitment to the area, her attention to detail and her flair and passion for the unique.

“She’s hugely well-respected within the community and we’re thrilled to have her on board.”

Ms Henbrey said she was “elated” to join the team and looked forward to marketing and selling some of the area’s “stunning properties”.

“It’s not just about the value of the property,” she said.

“A Sotheby’s International Realty home boasts unique aspects that make it special to current and future owners.

“It could be the last beachfront property of its kind, have million dollar views unrivalled in Nelson or it could be a one-bedroom period villa. Each has a unique proposition that makes it special.

“I can’t wait to showcase our wonderful Nelson properties to the world,” she said.

The Sotheby’s International Realty brand is known across the globe for its superb marketing of the world’s most unique homes.

“Homes listed with us are presented to the highest standard to achieve the best possible result for our vendors,” said Ms Henbrey.
