Parsons Brinckerhoff Traffic Engineer Wins Spot at IPENZ 2013

Parsons Brinckerhoff Consulting Traffic Engineer Daniel Keller has won an opportunity to represent the Australian Institute of Planning and Traffic Management’s (AITPM) at the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) 2013 conference.

Mr Keller responded to AITPM’s call for award entries based on the 2013 conference theme ‘Collaboration –Transporting us through.’

Based in Adelaide, Mr Keller said the importance of collaboration was evident through many projects he has worked on – large and small.

‘Projects run more efficiently, with better outcomes for all, when the team works collaboratively with the client towards a common goal.

‘I used this practical experience in my application for the AIPTM award,’ said Mr Keller.

Mr Keller is currently the SA Branch Secretary for AITPM and by attending the conference he hopes to gather ideas for the 2014 AITPM conference to be held in South Australia.

‘I will be working closely with the 2014 conference committee and will be in a position to provide input and ideas for the conference based on my observations and participation in New Zealand,’ said Mr Keller.

Mr Keller also looks forward to gaining insights into IPENZ programs similar to the AITPM Young Professionals Group.

‘IPENZ is also encouraging young professionals to actively participate in its industry – I am sure we can share our knowledge for the benefit of the industry,’ said Mr Keller.
