CTC returns to Singapore to recruit future pilots

Hamilton, New Zealand – CTC Aviation Training (NZ) Limited, a member of the global company CTC Aviation Group Limited, will return to Singapore this month to select cadets for its airline pilot training programmes.

CTC selects and trains cadet pilots through its internationally renowned “CTC Wings” programme for 17 airlines around the world including British Airways, easyJet, Royal Brunei Airlines, Qatar Airways, and the Jetstar Group.

Marketing and Recruitment Manager for CTC Aviation Training (NZ), Sheryl Rogerson said the company’s recruitment team would return to Singapore in April to select cadet pilots for partner airline Jetstar Asia.

“With the growth of the aviation sector, especially in the Asia Pacific region, there is a growing demand for pilots trained to an airline standard which is exactly where CTC’s expertise lies.”

CTC has been in partnership with the Jetstar Group since 2010. Aspiring aviators who are accepted on to the Jetstar Cadet Pilot Programme train from ab-initio (beginner level) through to a type rating on an Airbus A320 and are tagged for a First Officer position with the airline.

“The opportunities with Jetstar, made possible through its Cadet Pilot Programme, are outstanding. It’s great to see so many CTC graduates flying for Jetstar throughout the region,” said Rogerson.

CTC has more than 200 cadets from approximately 15 countries around the world currently training in Hamilton. The company has an exceptional reputation for successfully placing graduates of its “CTC Wings” programme with partner airlines and is considered to be a world leader in its field.

Ian Calvert, Managing Director for CTC Aviation Training (NZ), said the company is in a period of strong growth following the recession.

“As the global financial crisis tapers off, the airline industry is in a significant growth phase. We’re in talks with a number of potential new airline clients from around the world who are keen to use CTC’s expertise and ensure they have the “people-resource” to match their expanding requirements.”

The Jetstar Asia Cadet Pilot Programme is available to Singaporean Nationals who have previously completed National Service. Those interested in learning more about the programme or about other airline pilot training opportunities with CTC can visit the company’s website www.ctcwings.com.
