Lyttelton Port of Christchurch Chairman Elect
Lyttelton Port of Christchurch (LPC) wishes to advise Trevor Burt has been voted Chairman Elect, with immediate effect. He will take over the role of Chairman on 30 June 2013, when current Chairman, Rodger Fisher, steps down.
Mr Burt is a Professional Director and has been on the LPC Board since November 2008 and Deputy Chairman since June 2011.
Prior to becoming a Professional Director, Mr Burt followed a career with the global industrial gas company, The BOC Group, where he held a number of senior leadership roles in Australia, China and USA, including President of their North American region. He assisted leading the integration of The BOC Group into the German global engineering company, Linde AG, where he joined their executive Board and was Munich based.
Mr Burt has extensive experience in strategic leadership in large organisations and has taken up a number of governance roles including Chair of Ngai Tahu Holdings Corporation Limited and directorships of MainPower New Zealand Limited and Silver Fern Farms Limited. He is a Commissioner on EQC and is a member of the Institute of Directors.
