Chen Palmer: Two New Appointments
Chen Palmer is pleased to announce two new exciting appointments: Jim Castiglione as Partner, and Yue Wang as Intermediate Associate.
Jim Castiglione is a core Public Law expert. He has particular expertise in advising on Resource Management and Infrastructure issues including major port, airport, telecommunications and energy projects. Jim is also an expert in Government Relations, and provides his clients with strategic advice on major projects, including for the recovery and rebuild of Canterbury.
Jim also advises clients on Employment Law matters, including health and safety rights and obligations.
He works closely with large Chinese SOEs and other investors from mainland China and Hong Kong on large New Zealand construction projects and other investments.
Yue Wang is fluent in Mandarin and English. She has substantial experience in a wide range of Immigration and Commercial matters including facilitating and leading key commercial negotiations and diplomatic events between major Chinese SOEs and New Zealand private enterprises and government agencies. Yue is experienced at assisting clients migrating to New Zealand to facilitate investment and trade opportunities, including advising Chinese investors on small, medium and large business acquisitions.
She also has substantial experience on civil and commercial litigation matters with a focus on contract disputes and insolvency.
Yue has five years post qualification experience and has been selected by the Chinese government to attend the World Young Chinese Leaders Forum in Beijing, China later this year.
