Plus4 adds another adviser to increase its Waikato presence

Waikato Adviser Glen Williams joins Plus4 Insurance Group

Plus4 Insurance Solutions (Plus4), the national insurance broking and financial adviser group, today announced that Hamilton-based adviser Glen Williams has joined Plus4, extending the group’s presence in the Waikato.

An insurance broker and Registered Financial Adviser, Glen is the principal of AFL Insurance, which he established in 2008. Glen began his financial services career with United Kingdom-based Lincoln Financial Group in Gloucester in 2002 with he provided risk and investment advice to clients. On returning to New Zealand in 2005 he worked with NZ Home Loans before establishing his own company, AFL Insurance.

Glen established AFL Insurance to provide farmers and the rural sector with risk insurance, with a particular focus on helping his clients reduce the cost of their ACC cover with specific rural products to better meet their needs. He a member of the Waikato Chamber of Commerce and has a Certificate in Financial Planning from the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Bachelor of Engineering (Materials Engineering) from Massey University.

Plus4’s chairman Grant Uridge said, “Glen is a successful and highly regarded insurance adviser in the Waikato. He has established a successful business, predominantly serving the needs of the rural sector. Given that Plus4 is a cooperative, the only specialist insurance and financial broking firm who is a member of the NZ Cooperatives Association, we are very selective about whom we ask to join our group. Our members need to not only have the necessary experience and expertise but also share our values, as each member has an equal shareholding in Plus4.”

Established in 2008 in Nelson, Plus4 now has over 25 advisers working from 11 locations between Whangarei and Invercargill. Group members, who have no affiliations to any specific insurance provider, offer unbiased advice tailored to their individual and business clients’ requirements. They work predominantly with small to medium sized enterprises, their owners and their accountants.
