2degrees to offer free calls around the world at Pasifika
This weekend will see the 21st birthday of Pasifika, the largest Polynesian gathering in the world and one of Auckland’s biggest cultural events.
To celebrate, 2degrees wants to help connect festival goers with friends and family around the world so are offering free calls (for up to five minutes) to anywhere in the world at their Connection Point near the zoo entrance.
“Pasifika is a celebration of everything about the Pacific Islands and we know many Kiwis have ties and connections there,” says Malcolm Phillipps, Chief Marketing Officer at 2degrees.
“Keeping in touch with friends and family is a really important part of both Kiwi and Pacific cultures and we want people at the festival to be able to make calls on the weekend to share this great event with them.”
2degrees are also working with Digicel, the mobile network for the Pacific Islands, to showcase their new Mobile Money App which allows customers to transfer money to their family or friends with a Digicel phone in Samoa, Tonga or Fiji from their smartphones. Festival-goers will be able to see the App on show at the 2degrees store next to the Connection Point where there will also be some great deals on offer.
Alternatively
festival-goers can chill out around the 2degrees caravan or
get creative and design a 2degrees Pasifika Magic Number
logo to win some great prizes.
