Suzuki Tops Owner
Satisfaction
Award For Second Successive
Year
New Zealand Suzuki owners are more satisfied with their cars than any other brand, according to the results of an independent survey. For the second successive year the Suzuki brand topped the list of the ten most popular makes of cars with the highest rating of 96.4 per cent in the Roy Morgan Research into customer satisfaction for 2012. Of all the Roy Morgan awards the highly competitive Car Manufacturer of the Year title has the highest average satisfaction rating of any category.
"The Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards are presented to those businesses in New Zealand who are leading their category in customer satisfaction and have earned formal recognition of that achievement," said Michele Levine, Chief Executive Officer of Auckland-based Roy Morgan Research. "That's clearly what Suzuki is doing, as demonstrated by their success in winning the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Award for Car Manufacturers in New Zealand for the second year in a row”. "Having won seven out of the twelve months in 2011, Suzuki broke this record in 2012 by winning nine out of the twelve months of 2012 with an average customer satisfaction rating of 96.4 per cent. Toyota is in a distant second, followed by Holden and Daihatsu," said Michele Levine.
Roy Morgan Research is
the largest independent Australian research company, with
offices in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, the United
States and the United Kingdom. The company has more than 70
years of experience in collecting objective, independent
information on consumers and has been collecting data on New
Zealanders for a decade.
It is a highly respected source
of information on financial behaviour, readership, voting
intention and consumer confidence. The Roy Morgan Award is
New Zealand's largest on-going single source survey.
Customers are asked to rate a product on service on a five
point scale ranging from "very satisfied" to "very
dissatisfied". Tom Peck, General Manager of Marketing for
Suzuki New Zealand, said it was pleasing to win the award
again, confirming the continued popularity of Suzuki cars in
a highly competitive market. He said Suzuki was especially
popular with private new car buyers, and their experience
with the brand remained positive.
"Clearly owners like their Suzuki’s and not only in the honeymoon period post purchase. Buyers also appreciate the transparent pricing and ownership benefits as well as being enthusiastic about their cars," said Tom Peck. The New Zealand Suzuki owner popularity is mirrored internationally. Suzuki scored highly in the British Warranty Direct reliability survey last year. In a review of the UK Government's Open Data scheme, Suzuki finished second only to Lexus in an analysis of pass rates for mandatory mechanical inspections.
