Local businesses challenged to enter awards
Is your business up to the challenge? That’s the question from the organisers of this year’s local business awards as they call for entries in the annual competition.
Now in its 16th year, the 2013 Westpac Auckland North Business Awards will be launched at events in Albany and Silverdale next month and businesses from across the region are invited to attend.
Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED), that runs the awards, is keen for all types of businesses to attend the launches to find out more.
“The Auckland North area is home to a huge array of companies and we want to see this diversity reflected in the entries for the 2013 business awards,” says Chris Lock, ATEED’s Acting Manager Business Growth – North.
“We are looking for entries from any business that excels, whether through superior customer service, unique products, clever promotions, a mystery X factor, or is an all round excellent business. So we encourage businesses from all corners of the area to attend the launches to see just how easy it is to enter and the benefits they could gain.”
Businesses can enter three of seven prestigious categories and are automatically entered into several special awards depending on each organisation’s size and stage..
ATEED runs community-based business awards in Auckland West, South and North and is a supporting partner of Auckland Chamber of Commerce’s business awards in Auckland Central.
Any business wishing to attend the launch in Albany on 14 March or Silverdale on 20 March should register at BusinessAucklandNZ.com/awards.
