Lion Foundation grants over $7m to NZ communities
The Lion Foundation is delighted to report over $7m granted to communities across New Zealand for the months of January and February 2013. Notable grants include substantial contributions to Auckland Coastguard as they begin work on a replacement rescue vessel; the purchase of 4WD emergency response vehicles for St John in the South Island and for more ambulances right across the whole country. We are also pleased to be supporting the Foundation for Youth Development in various regional sites, The Young Enterprise Scheme, and NZ Football, Golf and Cricket. Equally pleasing for us is the support provided to Dargaville Primary School in the North and Kapanui School on the Kapiti Coast, plus a whole range of other great community causes.
The Lion Foundation’s broad based funding approach provides funds more widely than any other trust in New Zealand across the categories of Sport, Health, Education and Community - which includes The Arts, Heritage, Culture and the Environment. The Lion Foundation receives hundreds of applications each month from Kiwis who are making a positive contribution to their communities. We might be able to help your group too.
