Tuesday 19 February – The market touched five year highs on the back of better investor sentiment as earnings releases continued to provide momentum. The only real disappointment was SHL which suffered sharp falls as it failed to meet expectations. Among the sectors, materials and financials managed to put up some respectable gains but it was energy that did most of the heavy lifting.
