Gen-I Conference Shares Latest Solutions With NZ Businesses
Gen-i, the country’s leading information and communications technology provider, launches a nationwide conference in
Whangarei tomorrow aimed at arming local businesses with the latest technology insights and solutions.
The conference, which takes place in 12 cities, will provide innovative and insightful opportunities and solution for
businesses making technology decisions which strategically impact their future success.
The half-day events feature panel discussions involving businesses from each city as well as demonstrations and
presentations by key technology partners: Cisco, HP, IBM, Microsoft, Express Data, Ingram Micro and Westcon.
Speaking at the first event in Whangarei will be Northland Polytechnic ICT manager Sue Milner, Kaipara District Council
IT manager Bill Ruys and Top Energy information and communication systems manager Gordon Ramsay.
Together they will provide their perspectives on making technology work, what faster access speeds really mean for
business and how to ensure ICT provides more efficient business outcomes.
Local Northland businessman, Ben Kepes from Diversity Limited, will also offer an international view on cloud computing
and how it can benefit businesses of all sizes. In addition, Steve Mills, Gen-i’s general manager for Corporate Clients,
will provide insights into global ICT trends and the impact for New Zealand businesses.
Gen-i Northland Sales Manager Tim Robinson will offer his views on how local organisations can improve business
performance, explore growth opportunities, and enable a more efficient and secure workplace.
Mr. Mills says the annual event is typically strongly supported by local companies eager to hear about global ICT trends
and their potential impact for their business.

The 2013 ICT Conference in Whangarei takes place at the Refining NZ Lounge, Level 2, Toll Stadium, from 12pm.
