New Zealanders love their Life & Leisure
NZ Life & Leisure magazine readership has grown by 34 percent in the last 12 months according to latest readership data released by Nielsen.
Now reaching 157,000 readers, up from 117,000 a year ago, the magazine is achieving results that show New Zealanders have fallen in love with the publication.
“Every issue is full of ordinary New Zealanders doing extraordinary things. Every day, everywhere in this country, they’re doing things that are within the grasp of all of us. We just need to know about them, and that’s why NZ Life & Leisure is such a tonic. It’s beautiful and it makes the readers feel uplifted and they love its quality and the information it gives them,” says editor Kate Coughlan.
Published by Fairfax Magazines, NZ Life & Leisure is one of the fastest growing titles in its premium lifestyle category, with strong appeal to a very desirable audience for advertisers.
Predominantly read by females in the 35-59 year age bracket, with an average household income 36 percent higher than the national average, the NZ Life & Leisure reader is 79 percent more likely than the total population to earn $120,000+ and 51 percent more likely to be in a top three occupation.
Kate and her team have a powerful connection with their readers who are, she says, an opinionated lot but well worth listening to.
“We get a lot of feedback from our readers who like to stay close to the magazine. It’s their magazine after all and we listen closely,” says Kate.
Over the last 12 months NZ Life & Leisure has enhanced the magazine by offering additional content through its website www.nzlifeandleisure.co.nz.
“The website has allowed us to bring the magazine to life with video and audio. It’s just so exciting to be able to offer readers more of what they want,” adds Kate.
NZ Life & Leisure is one of the country’s most consistently growing magazines with highly engaged, affluent readers.
