Nespresso Releases A Bran New Grand Cru

Nespresso Releases A Bran New Grand Cru

New Zealand, January 2013 – Nespresso has rounded out its permanent range of highest quality Grand Cru coffees with the creation of a new coffee experience, designed to be enjoyed every morning.

‘Linizio’, derived from the Italian word ‘inizio’, references the beginning, the commencement. Coffee lovers are invited to enjoy this smooth and rich coffee as a perfect way to kick start the day.

Linizio Lungo is a blend of pure, high quality Arabica beans sourced from South America which impart a balanced and smooth finish to this Grand Cru. Nespresso coffee experts used a split-roasting technique to emphasise the aromatic richness of Linizio Lungo’ s origin. This technique specifically highlights the cereal, malty notes of the Bourbon beans sourced from Brazil which also feature as part of this exclusive blend. Theround, sweet notes of Linizio Lungo can be attributed to the inclusion in the blend of a new variety of Arabica coffee bean from Colombia, a variety never used by Nespresso before.

Linizio Lungo is best savoured in a long cup (110ml). Satisfying Kiwis’ love for cappuccinos, lattes and flat whites it lends itself well to be enjoyed withmilk. When combined with milk this Grand Cru reveals round, caramelised notes while preserving its roasted character.

The Linizio Lungo Grand Cru has an intensity of 4 and will form part of the permanent Nespresso Lungo range.

Linizio Lungo will be available in NewZealand from the Nespresso boutique and online from 4 February, 2013. RRP $10.00 for a sleeve of 10 capsules.
