Coca-Cola Amatil NZ Annoucement: George Adams
Coca-Cola Amatil NZ Ltd, wish to announce that after nine years as Managing Director of CCA, New Zealand and Fiji, George Adams has decided for personal reasons to repatriate back to Europe in order to pursue opportunities within the Coca-Cola system. Following a planned transition process with his successor, George will leave CCA NZ after April and plans to relocate mid-year.
During his tenure, George has overseen more than $300 million dollars’ worth of capital investment into the New Zealand business plus instilled strong disciplines and a customer centric culture resulting in CCA NZ being ranked the #1 supplier by their customers. He also achieved his aim of CCA NZ being ranked as the most profitable food and beverage company in the Deloitte 200 for the last 4 years running, achieving the top spot 6 times in the past decade.
George was Chair of the New Zealand Food and Grocery Council for 6 years and a member of the Zero Harm Business Leaders Forum where he was instrumental in driving a zero harm agenda across all industry.
CCA NZ is pleased to announce the appointment of Barry O’Connell as Managing Director for CCA New Zealand and Fiji, commencing early April.
Barry
who is from the Republic of Ireland has a proven track
record of success and joins CCA after 20 years with
Coca-Cola Hellenic (CCHBC). His current role is General
Manager for Austria & Slovenia. Under Barry’s leadership,
the Austrian business has been one of the best performing
markets in CCHBC, delivering double digit EBIT growth and
significant market share gains over the last three
years.
Barry will relocate to Auckland in April and will
be joined in September by his wife Mary and his children.
