It’s official, the United States is the hottest new travel destination for Kiwis with Flight Centre New Zealand
reporting a 22% increase in bookings to the USA and a 20% increase in bookings to Hawaii in 2012, compared to the
previous year.
This is backed by international travel statistics from Statistics New Zealand, showing that the number of Kiwis
travelling to the United States was second only to Australia, as Kiwis continue to take advantage of the strong New
Zealand dollar and cash in on their holiday of a lifetime.
To help Kiwis plan and book their next holiday, Travel Expo, New Zealand’s largest travel show, is being held in
Auckland on 16 and 17 February, 2013. Hosted by Flight Centre Limited, the annual Travel Expo provides travel
information, holiday packages, cruises and exclusive flight discounts, all available on the day.
Flight Centre New Zealand’s executive general manager, Mike Friend, said Hawaii is the hottest holiday destination for
