Motel Association of NZ relaunches website

Finding the right motel within New Zealand has just become a whole lot easier after the Motel Association of New Zealand (MANZ) relaunched its website with a host of new functions for both guests and motel-owners.

“With so much accommodation booked online in the current market, it’s important to have the most vibrant, effective and user-friendly web presence possible, which is why we have revamped our site,” MANZ Chief Executive Michael Baines says.

The new-look site offers the range of functions travellers expect in a web presence, such as choosing the right motel in the right region, image gallery and the ability to send links via Facebook and Twitter.

“One of the big benefits of this is in what is new for motel-owners,” Mr Baines says. “We have a range of new resources for members including advice and support services, member forums, and a classified section where you can sell everything from furniture through to the motel itself,” Mr Baines says.

The resources include a guide for those outside the industry who are considering buying or leasing a motel plus an online shop for industry-standard stationery.
“What we have is a simple-to-use but effective website, which is a key marketing tool for both motels and the wider tourism sector in New Zealand, and lets our members do their jobs easier,” Mr Baines says.
