Sea Serpent Captures Children's Imaginations At Bayfair

Media Release December 2012

Sea Serpent Captures Children's Imaginations At Bayfair

The tide is coming in at Bayfair Shopping Centre with the installation of a new dedicated children’s play area. A sea serpent-themed space has been created to enhance the entertainment options for families with young children visiting the centre.

The recent upgrade of the Parents’ Room (installed in August 2012) and development of the playscape area highlight the centre’s commitment to catering for young families and making their visits even more appealing and enjoyable.

The playscape area is highly interactive, with talking tubes, textured surfaces, activity and bubble panels, and bright colours and fun graphics. The area’s centerpiece is a large sea serpent that doubles as an aesthetic feature and climb-through tunnel tube.

The playscape’s design was inspired by the local community’s relationship with the ocean and environment. Bayfair centre manager, Steve Ellingford says he’s excited to be launching the playscape and is looking forward to seeing it bring a smile to the faces of many children.

“We are committed to enhancing our customers’ experience, and given the community’s strong connection to the beach, we’re sure children will love the space.”

The playscape area will officially open on Friday 14 December, in time for those heading to the centre to complete Christmas shopping.
