Update from Air Pacific - Fiji flights

Published: Tue 18 Dec 2012 09:28 AM
Statement from Air Pacific Monday, 17 December 2012: 5pm
Air Pacific is working closely with the Government of Fiji and local authorities to ensure the safety of all customers and staff while waiting for Tropical Cyclone Evan to pass the western side of Viti Levu in Fiji.
“We will continue to keep all of our passengers informed as soon as updates are available on our website www.airpacific.com,” says Dave Pflieger, Air Pacific MD & CEO.
“Our Call Centre is operating, but as you can imagine the lines are extremely busy; thus we would encourage all Air Pacific and Pacific Sun passengers to check our website and our Facebook page for the most current information on when we expect the storm to pass and flights to and from Fiji to resume.”
Based on current forecast, it appears that the heavy rain and strong winds that just started at 12 noon today will be gone by 12 noon tomorrow (Tuesday 18 December).
The airline will be releasing its updated flight schedule for tomorrow (Tuesday 18 December) later this evening. Passengers are advised to check www.airpacific.com for schedule updates.
